Service Dogs UK serves the Armed Forces and Emergency Services communities. We pair veterans and serving personnel, who have been diagnosed with PTSD, with a carefully selected rescue dog and together they undertake our 9 - 12 month training programme to achieve ADI PTSD Assistance Dog Accreditation together. A lifelong partnership with a PTSD Assistance Dog greatly relieves the debilitating effects of PTSD, enabling the Veteran to re-engage with family and friends and start to enjoy life once more.

  ShelterBox is a disaster relief charity that provides shelter, warmth and dignity to those affected by disasters worldwide.  We deliver boxes of aid, each of which provides a family of ten with quality survival equipment to use while they rebuild their homes.    

Preschool that provides Early Education and childcare from aged 2.7 years until they go to school.

There are hundreds of orphans in Shewula with no one to pay for their education. The cost of fees, uniforms, stationery etc. means that most orphans/vulnerable children are simply unable to afford to go to school. With buildings part-funded by Truro College the Shewula programme has established three non-formal schools and one pre-school to serve the Shewula community. These Sebenta (non-formal) schools offer access to free education to orphans and vulnerable children.

Shine Bright Foundation was set in memory of our dear friend and family member Sarah Bennett. To raise awareness of Breast cancer, in particular Triple Negative Breast Cancer. We raise much needed funds for the research of TNBC and other breast cancers. We also provide holistic treatments for people having treatment for Breast Cancer locally to where we are based in Cheshire East. We also provide giftbags and comfort cushions nationally to those who request them, again to those who are having treatment for BC. Shine Lincolnshire is a county wide charity which aims to support people with poor mental health to live well through accessing a range of support services, working with service users and carers and other agencies in Lincolnshire. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across south-west London, north-west London and Surrey. We’re here to make every moment count, whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care. Our specialist care and support is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We support around 500 babies, children, or young adults who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as around 200 bereaved families. It costs £10 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our services going.

We support individuals with sight loss, their families, carers and friends. We also provide advice to professionals, members of the public, community groups and anyone else who wants to make a positive difference to the lives of people with sight loss. We have a large network of local and national professionals who we can call on to support us such as GP’s, opticians and other charities.

Sight Support is a UK registered charity which provides support for people with sight loss in Hull and the East Riding. We believe no-one in Hull & East Yorkshire should have to face sight loss alone and every visually impaired person can enjoy the same opportunities and quality of life as those who are fully sighted. Our mission is to improve and enrich the quality of life for local people at all stages of sight loss, through the provision of a wide range of support services, enabling them to reach their full potential and lead independent lives. We currently support more than 2,300 local people with a range of visual impairments and work closely in partnership with local authorities, other local charities and a variety of support groups to provide the most appropriate support to suit each individual’s specific needs. We receive no government funding and rely on donations and gifts in wills to continue our work.

In the past 70 years, Sightsavers has achieved amazing things. We work in more than 30 countries to train health workers, provide eye operations, distribute treatment to prevent debilitating diseases, support people with disabilities, improve women’s health and more. In the seven decades since our foundation, we've distributed 1.6 billion treatments to prevent debilitating diseases, including blinding and potentially blinding conditions and carried out over 8.8 million cataract operations to save sight. Last year over 500 young homeless people made their ‘home’ with us. YMCA Walthamstow is a supported housing scheme where accommodation and support are provided as a package. Our scheme is designed to help residents develop in all aspects of life; mind, body and spirit, enabling them to live with us then move onto independent living and sustainment within their community. We provide targeted and holistic support to single people aged 18 and above with housing and support needs, individuals who are homeless, vulnerable and/or at risk, people living with mental illness, learning disabilities or recovering from substance misuse or those who are fleeing domestic violence.

Simon on the Streets is an independent charity that works with those who have complex needs and cannot or will not access other services. Within that group the focus is on people who are homeless and rootless, especially those with issues related to rough sleeping.

Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft-focused organisation, with a sustainable and local model of supporting surgery and other forms of essential, comprehensive care. Since 1999, we have supported safe and quality cleft care for 1.5+ million children and will continue to do so until every person in need with a cleft has access to the care they deserve.
