The Rio Ferdinand Foundation is a youth and community development charity. We work in the heart of the UKs most disadvantaged communities, supporting young people (aged 10-25), to tackle the inequalities they face. We create opportunities and pathways for young people to achieve their potential, through sports, media, arts and education. Through our work, we empower young people to take control of their lives, become socially mobile and drive social change in their communities.

Riverside provides mental health and emotional wellbeing support to adults and young people across South Oxfordshire. We offer 1:1 counselling, group support, drop in services, workshops and professional training . We are supporting over 150 people every week and rely on fundraising to run our services. Saving lives at Sea

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provide specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children. There are currently over 120 Road Dahl Nurses caring for more than 33,000 seriously ill children, but there are still too many children with serious illnesses who do not receive this vital specialist care. We understand how immensely difficult being diagnosed with a serious illness is for a child and their whole family. It is uncertain, overwhelming, scary, and deeply unfair. It can be isolating and takes over your whole life. Navigating this challenging and complex world can be daunting, particularly when an initial diagnosis is made. And that is where our marvellous Roald Dahl Nurses come in – ensuring that seriously ill children no longer have to brave their illnesses alone. Roald Dahl Nurses are trained and dedicated experts in their field. They are a consistent presence in the child’s life from initial diagnosis through to the child’s transition to adult services. They advise, they reassure, and they become an extended part of the family. The dedication and expertise of our nurses reduces A&E visits, hospital admissions and consultant appointments. They’re also a vital lifeline to the whole family, coordinating care and providing access to high quality emotional support. That’s why we believe every seriously ill child deserves a Roald Dahl Nurse.

Rockinghorse provides tailored support for sick and disabled children by working with local services and hospitals to identify and deliver the vital resources that are needed. We fund projects across Sussex and Surrey that save lives and create positive experiences for vulnerable children, young people and their families. Many of those we support have life-threatening conditions, profound physical or learning disabilities, or severe mental health problems  

Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent Charity that provides free 'home away from home' accommodation at specialist children's hospitals, enabling families to stay close to their sick child. Our 14 Houses across the UK give families a warm and comfortable place to rest, eat and relax, just moments away from their child’s hospital ward. Our support is invaluable to families at a critical time in their lives.

Rosa was established 23 years ago and runs services throughout Warwickshire and Coventry for men, women, young people and children who have experienced the trauma of rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence, services include: counselling, support groups, helpline, drop ins, ISVA, young people’s service, mentoring, advocacy, training, workshops, lending library.

At Rosemere we aim to raise funds for additional equipment, services and facilities for cancer patients being treated at the specialist Cancer Centre at Royal Preston Hospital and in the local Cancer Units throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria, that are outside the scope of the NHS.  We also look to invest wherever possible in local cancer research, often in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire or Lancaster University, to ensure that patients in this part of the North West get the best treatment possible, not just today but in the future.

Rowans Hospice provide palliative and end of life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in the Southeast of Hampshire, including Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham, Petersfield, Hayling Island, Havant and surrounding areas. Our highly trained hospice carers help to improve quality of life for the patient by easing physical symptoms as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to both patients and their loved ones.

Rowcroft Hospice provides comfort, support and specialist care in patients' homes, in the community and at their Inpatient Unit in Torquay. Three quarters of patients are supported in their own homes by a team of community nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Our area spans from Dawlish to Dartmouth and up in an arc to Bovey Tracy. We also care for out-patients and their loved ones, offering therapies and bereavement support - helping families make the most of their precious time together.. Through raising sponsorship from your friends and family on our behalf you help to sustain and expand the vital services we supply in face of growing demand in our region.

The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) is the Drowning Prevention Charity and the UK’s leading provider of water safety and drowning prevention education. Around 700 people drown in the UK and Ireland every year and many more suffer injury, some life-changing, through non-fatal experiences. More people die from drowning in the UK and Ireland than from domestic fires or cycling accidents. We have a huge challenge facing us to help save lives and reduce the number of UK and Irish citizens drowning. Here at the RLSS UK we have an impressive heritage. We have built up years of experience and we are proud to boast a strong force of loyal members and volunteers who work with us to promote water safety and educate in lifesavingskills. Our roots were established back in 1891 as the Life Saving Society, and in the early 1900s, with support from the Royal family, we were granted permission to adopt the ‘Royal’ to our title – a badge that we are still immensely proud of today. We have used our extensive knowledge of water safety and training to develop a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and programmes which have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life – including the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), the premier lifeguard training programme. Our core purpose is to prevent drowning and we want to deliver a year-on-year reduction in the rate of British and Irish citizens drowning through the identification of seven challenging ambitions which we intend to focus our attentions on, having the maximum impact possible on these facets of the work we undertake.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered primarily by kind donations, our search and rescue service has been saving lives for nearly 200 years. Our volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland, and our seasonal lifeguards look after people on busy beaches. Our Flood Rescue Team helps those affected by flooding. RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 142,700 lives since 1824 but we’re more than a rescue service. We influence, supervise and educate people too. Our Community Safety teams explain the risks and share safety knowledge with anyone going out to sea or to the coast. And our international teams work with like-minded organisations to help tackle drowning in communities at risk all around the world.
